Growing up, Dr. Paracha would go to his friend’s father for his dental checkups. He remembers walking into the office the first time, and he knew immediately that he wanted to do something in dentistry. After he applied to dental school, he was pressured to enroll in medical school because his grades were good enough, but he was set on becoming a dentist. Looking back over his nearly 20-year career, he couldn’t be happier with his decision.
Dr. Paracha earned his first dental degree in Pakistan, and after practicing there for about 6 years, he moved to the Middle East, where he practiced for another 6 years. He eventually immigrated to the U.S., where he enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He graduated with honors and also received the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology Achievement Award.
Dr. Paracha has a passion for teaching, so he has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Detroit Mercy as well as the University of Pennsylvania. Today, he works hard to stay on top of the latest advancements in dentistry through his membership in the American Dental Association.
Dr. Paracha and his wife, Marina, are the proud parents of a young boy and girl. Together, they tend to spend their free time enjoying the outdoors. He is an avid tennis player, and having lived in multiple countries, Dr. Paracha likes to travel and learn about different cultures—to date, he can speak 5 languages!
